You didn’t read it wrong - this cactus is definitely flying at your face. With a pop art vibe and a seriously fun color palette, this piece is not for the faint of heart. With movement, energy and plenty of vibrancy, this canvas is all about the joy, and definitely #sorrynotsorry about it.

This piece is part of the Made in LA series, inspired by the canyon Anjalé called home and birds of paradise growing outside her grandmother’s bedroom window. It’s about the cacti and yucca trees dotting the LA mountains and the sharp blades of grass her little brother would pluck to make lizard traps in the summertime. She was made in LA, and so were these paintings.
