This piece was born in my dreams, as the dreamiest creations often are. Equal parts Alice in Wonderland and Miami beach, this piece will transport you wherever it is that you want to go. My hope? That it punches you right in the heart and makes you feel really big and beautiful things there every single day.

This piece is part of the “Planted” series, an exploration of the natural world as it lives alongside us indoors. These paintings are meditations on the artist’s most beloved personal houseplants; the ones that she lives intimately beside every day. Both the act of painting the plants and the living plants themselves have kept the artist rooted, grounded, and firmly planted in the presence of her daily life.
